Swish and Flick (Also, whoops)

Hey, y’all! So, as you saw in the post that was created last week, you can totally blame me since I was in charge of posting. (I mean, you can blame her, but it won’t really change you didn’t get to read such a High-Quality post “on time.” So, we could leave blame out of it.) I promise you it told me it posted, but alas we saw two drafts in the publish waiting room today when we got on to do it, so we posted those. One of which was from January and I swear I saw posted during the winter, so I’m not sure what is going on with WordPress.

On a different note, AJA saw Harry Potter for the first time today!!!! (Technically last night, but details. It was after midnight…sorta, not really. Never mind.) Also, she’s planning to stay for the football game tonight, so I’m very excited for that. She’ll definitely make the sport more fun to watch. 😉 Ha…haha… Go…Te-team?

Basically, please accept our apologies for the delayed postings of “Winter Wondertasks” and “Vague Characters.” Enjoy these fine selections in place of actual meanderings from today.

Keep your wands in troll’s noses and your cups in the sink! ❤ 🙂 ;P 😉 😀 O.o

Drive safely ❤ (and ALWAYS check your main web page…)

Unicorns: A Helpless Victim

Hello! 🙂 Hey, y’all! (I also want to say thank you to AJA for the birthday post last week. ❤ 🙂 )

They say that the enemy of your enemy is your friend, and hopefully this post will make us more friends than enemies. I hope so and think it will. Basically: I’m a hipster with a complex and ACG just tolerates me 😉 . Additionally, you may have noticed a very popular creature popping in your newsfeeds as of late. FOR THE RECORD: I do not dislike the creature itself (well, of course not; it did nothing wrong. In fact, it’s sort of the victim!). Now, we’re talking about unicorns. If you haven’t been living under the rock of no social news, you’ve heard about it and are probably either screaming at us or cheering us on right now.

The problem is not the unicorn itself. The problem is that it’s being exploited! Not everyone can be a unicorn, KAREN! But for some reason, they have become the target of all corporations. They have also become the obsession of all consumers, and that is my biggest hangup. They’re really cool and I know that their blood prolongs life and all, but they do not need to be worshipped. I think that consumers are victims……… Capitalism is failing us. The monopolies are winning. We all must bow down to The Unicorn because They say to. O.O O.O O.O (I think you can probably blame The Ethics Professor (a good man, a pure soul) for that last thought, but the point stands.)

In short: unicorns are really pretty. They’re a symbol of being magical and defying what others claim is the only way about doing things. It’s all grand, but… I’m tired. Unicorns only have so much magic. Don’t let people waste it on a frappucino. Agreed. Love them; aspire to find one; but don’t buy their frappucinos, please. They also don’t appreciate trying to be drawn by mere mortals. (I wouldn’t go that far @) I’ve met one or two who love the silly doodles.)

So for now, drive safely. ❤ (Or, should I say “fly safely” as next week we’ll probably being exploiting pegasus (pegasuses? pegasusi?).)

Keep your shoes in your horns and your diamonds in the grass! 🙂 ;P ❤ 😀 😉

Blurbs, Summaries, and Words

HAPPY WEEKEND! It’s always weekend when we post, but this has been a good weekend. Hey, y’all! I want to quote the Brantley Gilbert song “The Weekend,” but I cannot remember a relevant line. I want to make a joke about the musical artist The Weekend now (now that ACG has brought up music), and why Snapchat is insistent on telling me he’s dating Selena Gomez!!! Buuuuut that’s not what this post is about.

Nope. It’s been a while since we talked about our stories and personal projects. Therefore, tonight we want to share what we’re working on currently. Instead of us summarizing our own projects, we thought we’d summarize each other’s with no rebuttal from that person, no chance to really explain 😉. I’m nervous about this, but let’s do it!

AJA likes to write contemporary, and she actually finishes those stories. I don’t understand, but she does. From YouTubers to photographers, she’s done multiple things. Right now, though, she’s writing about real people with serious problems. Her main characters all have mental illnesses, and they are really struggling. It isn’t like some stories that make it seem pretty or cool or fun; it is raw and painful to read at times because of how it shows the characters hurting. These girls (and guy) don’t want to be defined by what they are dealing with and each have a method to try and do that. Different ages, personalities, and interests, all of them are trying to do the best they can with the cards they’ve been dealt, and her story is about 2/3s through and showing that well. I’m so glad to be allowed to witness this sister queen’s writing (and all the other writings she’s shared in the past)!!!

How to describe ACG’s current project? Hmm… I do not recall if we have ever described it on this blog before or not. This project is the final “book” (manuscript) in a trilogy. Therefore, I’m leaving out a lot of background information. That being said… Basically a chick’s dead not-brother husband comes back to life after she’s gotten involved with a new dude and given birth to the not-brother, no-longer-dead ex-ish husband’s child. The chick is also a political figure for their “country.” It’s fantasy, so the terms that would be used don’t make sense in real life, so “country.” So was her not-brother husband…since he was kind of her brother and kind of her husband. That being said, everyone has accepted his death and moved on…sorta, so the new guy and the chick are planning to get married. Then not-brother husband comes back and derails those plans. The chick is kind of afraid of not-brother husband with good reason. He pitches a couple fits. He’s very aggressive and needs to be punched very hard. She tries hide her relationship with the new guy, and her child is very uncomfortable around his biological dad because he doesn’t know him and considers the new guy his dad. Basically the overall plot is: how do we react to dead not-brother husband’s return and get married and interact and blah blah blah. It’s all very awkward and dramatic. But really well written and I’m in love with the new guy. It’s great, and I am proud of ACG for writing this much/almost being done with three consecutive, full manuscripts.

I hope you got a sense of what we spend most of our free time doing (or pretending to do). 😉

Keep your stories on sealions and your fish on shelves!!! 🙂 ❤ 😀 😉 😛

Drive safely ❤

We’re Writing (about) The Future

Good evening! Tonight we’d like to take you on an adventure to a magical world…a world of the future. Hey, y’all! It’s mystical, magical, and out of this world. This all sounds very vague, and unfortunately that’s because what we will be talking about tonight has not truly come to pass. Yet!  Yes, yet. Hopefully that will change someday, maybe even in the nearer rather than more distant future…

Now most people would say things like flying or self driving cars when thinking about the inventions of the future as we are. We’re talking about, well, not that, because cars are already driving themselves (minus that nasty ethics debate). One pretty rocking invention would be a tablet-to-closet program. If wardrobes could be holographically condensed, organized, and stored within hard drives instead of hangars, imagine how much more floor space places would have. Imagine how much cleaner kids’ rooms would be when all they had to do was “zap” their clothes back into the tablet.

In a similar vein of super technological advances, if it were possible that people could scan something similar to QR codes with a device or implant and receive the information as knowledge in their brain, I feel like that would be super cool. Imagine how interactive that would make museum and historical sights! Or if they were placed on books, suddenly having the knowledge of certain information needed for tests or job performance.

Also along those lines, and pulling straight out of a scifi book, if everyone had a chip in their wrist that kept up with all their stuff. By stuff I’m talking money and driver’s license and those things. Cars could possibly even be made to only recognize the driver’s chips so that you didn’t need a key and people couldn’t steal it.

Technology seems to be the first line of thought for improvement for both of us, but there are so many other things to that could use improvement. However, it is getting late and before we drone on much further, I think it’s time we wrap it up.

So, don’t forget to drive safely, or make sure that your “Vehicle of The Future” is programmed to. ❤ 😉

Keep your chips in potato bags and your clothes in the refrigerator! 😀 😉 😛 ❤ 😉

PS – I, AJA, take full responsibility for the vague Paramore reference.

Creative Process: Deep Meanderings

Tonight we found it fitting to show you a portion of our process. Without further ado: {Hold on to your trackpads.}

Hi, are we talking about toes or nose or pose or pole or coal or stupid book endings where you are entirely too satisfied and not all at the same time or stream of consciousness or rambling or a combination of those…or or or, humidity and walking outside while your hair is drying equating to cosmetic suicide not a bad idea at all….. Haha… Ummmmmmm idk… *We COULD talk being old grannies (grannys?) compared to fifteen year old infants tho! Idk how to say that either…grannies I THINK…we could…idk WHY IS IT SO HARD TO PICK TODAY/NIGHT/WHATEVERTIMETHISIS?!?!?!?!?!?!?! Idk… but it is insanely hard… we could talk about being indecisive that we could….but where would we go with that???? We’re already writing that post technically tbh if we took the thing about chat out we could probably just roll with this…clean it up a tiny bit and go…title it “deep meandering creative processes” or something weird. I mean, it’s a rather interesting process.

*{Also feel that y’all should know we were at a volunteer ending party thing with the fifteen year olds, we weren’t legit grannies. Nor were the fifteen year olds suddenly actual infants. Yeah, no, we just felt old.}

So, I think, this wraps up the creative rabbit hole that is our process. AKA: AJA’s unattended babbling. 😉 HEY I SHOWED UP EVENTUALLY IT’S NOT MY FAULT YOU DIDN’T TEXT ME YOU SPORK! Yikes, it really wasn’t intentional. Miscommunication and dying phones hit hard. :/ TRUTH. ❤

Ahem, as I was saying,  hopefully next week we’ll pick an actual topic to write on.

Keep your heads in the sand and your clothes in the rain. 🙂 O.o ❤ 😀 😉 😛

And as always, don’t forget to drive safely. ❤

Post-Graduation Kind Of Early Class Reunion Sleep Over (*Creepy Music*)

Good evening, our dear friends! (That…made me feel like I was welcoming you to a haunted house. Maybe a little bit. Ahem. Anyway.) Hey, y’all! Our weekends have been chock full recently, but this time it really is Saturday. Honestly, it feels so strange, even if it’s only really been one weekend where we had to schedule a post. This weekend it was mostly just our Friday that had adventure all in it.

See, we had a party to go to. It wasn’t a dance party or anything, and it actually felt more like a strange graduate shower…? We got cool but strangely domestic gifts. Towels and hangers, soap and tissues–all very useful items and much more lovely than I’m making them sound by listing them in such a way. There was also pens and binders with paper already in them.

Because of the intriguing nature of this party, we thought we’d share with you all some things we learned from a Post-Graduation Kind Of Early Class Reunion Sleep Over (I don’t know what I’m doing, tbh).

  1. Life happens to everyone, and boys seem to be at the top of the list.
  2. You CAN talk a topic to death, even if it’s a topic that would generally be enjoyed by most of the parties present.
  3. Not everyone watches movies the same way. Some like to sit quietly and actually watch intently.
  4. There are more collectible toys than one would think is possible.
  5. Disney can actually be life.
  6. But people you don’t expect might read lots of the same books as you.
  7. Some playing cards have been made especially for the military.
  8. Gluten-free brownies are actually pretty great.

There may have been a couple more minor things we learned, but I think this pretty well covers everything. Keep your hats on toes and your faces in the Jello. 🙂 ;P 😀 :/ ❤ 😉 😛 O.o 🙂

As always, please remember to drive safely in strange lands on strange 800 lane roads.

Words…Words…Words.

Welcome! For once, we plan to actually blog about, like, things that have happened instead of, like, not having time to blog. O.o I know, I know… It’s shocking. Still shocking considering things are only going to get more busy from here, so hold on tight. *grips the handrail with both elbows* I mean, I feel like they aren’t going to get more busy on a weekend though. Like, you might could argue next Saturday we have one commitment during the day and Sunday will be insane that week, but… We have busy senior stuff tomorrow night, too. TRUE, but hopefully that won’t prohibit us from blogging.

ANYWAY, that is not the point of this post. This is our escape from the world tonight. We are going to talk about our word worlds. 😀

The best way to go about this is to literally jump right in and introduce each other’s projects in the manner one might introduce themselves at a group therapy. So, this is ACG’s project, and it is actually a sequel to another story of hers with a very, very, very confusing and vaguely messed up and incestuous family. You see, this hoodoo chick loses her sorta brother/boyfriend/sorta husband because of a magical competition where they must either compromise her values or die. So, her husband kills himself by magic? To save her? And now she’s trying to live her life while pregnant (which wasn’t supposed to happen but what can you do?) with her dead husband’s son, and she’s like eighteen and she hates everything and everyone and is very depressed and vaguely frightening so I think after she gives birth she goes on a weird killing spree? But then falls in love with a cuddly person who she is not vaguely related to? And splits herself in half, but I’m getting ahead of this book.

This is AJA’s project, and it is the story of the long time boyfriend of the girl who has her own novel about the fact that her brother is suddenly dead. It is following the boyfriend’s relationship and interactions with the best friend of the girlfriend’s brother who is also very distraught (obviously, it was his best friend). It is a “before” of the before and after (which is the not-title) style novel from the sister’s perspective, showing from an outside source the havoc the original death wreaked on both sister and best friend of the depressed college student who took his fate into his own hands because he did not think he could continue to handle it. This boyfriend and brother struggles to know how to best help his girlfriend and brother cope and move on then learns a hard lesson that a boy cannot always be helped and “fixed” by yelling at them and telling them to get it together. He learns that even the people that are not perfect can still be loved to a degree of debilitation, no matter how he personally feels about the character and standards of the object of this love. In the end, though, he still does have his brother and his girlfriend and things are looking up and ready to get through the summer into his girlfriend’s perspective of the first year of college life without her older brother.

Now that ACG has become a professional summarizer and I have become a confused tween again and end all of my sentences with a question mark? (To be fair, my mouth runs a lot more about the future of my plot than hers, which means that there are more variables from the future that can change, which is where most of the question marks came into play, that or questioning my goofball character’s intents which I barely even know. Yeah, yeah, you’re just being humble.)

Anyway, I hope this has given you some insight as to what we do with our free time, which seems awful…unstable and vaguely hyperemotional. Until next week, drive safely and carry a big stick, or something like that. ❤

Always put your words on a page and your nose in the binding of your favorite book. 🙂 😀 😉 😛 ❤ O.o ;D ;P
