Too much in 2 days..?

Hey, so ACG and I are The Busiest this weekend. You’ll have to pardon our lack of presence here on the blog. We wish you a Merry Halloween on Tuesday and a good weekend.

Drive safely and put things where they don’t belong! 💟

Pumpkin!!! (Happy Birthday to Us)

For this year’s annual pumpkin, we decided to commemorate our friendship and queenliness. 😉 After all, three years of blogging is quite a while. Four whole pumpkins of joy. #) Four pumpkins, three years, and six years of friendship!!! That’s insane in the best way possible. We’ll just let the pumpkins speak for themselves.

Keep your stems on straight and your carvings tasteful! ❤ 🙂 ;P 😀 O.O 😉 O.o

Drive safely and don’t run with your carving knives. 😉 ❤

Also, we started writing Halloween songs while we worked, so here is “O Pumpkin Tree.”

Balls, Galaxy Cake

Hey, y’all! Heyyyy #)

We have had quite the wild ride this week–everything from doctor appointments to classical music to learning to embrace gym sweat and how to cope with Friday the 13th curses–but we wanted to share with you all the sweetest part. 😉

So, there’s a post here from the end of May about the “Great Teascape,” and in it, we mention that we baked cake balls together. Well, they didn’t actually turn out all that great for a multitude of reasons.  Those reasons being: we were inexperienced, reckless, and didn’t freeze them for 20-30 minutes before trying to dip them in the melting chocolate. @) BUT since we have LEARNED. We have GROWN. We successfully made the most (well, okay, they still weren’t perfect but we liked them) BEAUTIFUL cake balls! 😀 Be quiet. They’re beautiful, perfect babies, and the colored white chocolate was probably the best part!

Cake Balls

As you can see, they aren’t perfectly smooth and decorated like Starbucks’ or anything, but I am very proud of us. Me too! They are so, so delicious and were so, so much fun to make! 🙂

Keep your chocolate melted and your icing purple! ❤ 🙂 ;P 😀 😉 O.O

Drive safely by bearing in mind your sugar high before getting behind the wheel. ❤

Music, Hats, Oreos, and More

What do music, cowboy hats, fried Oreos, and face paint have in common? Well, if you’re from North Alabama (or maybe been on our blog a while), you’ll know this one right away. Fiddler’s Convention!!! Generally the first weekend in October, it’s where all the best crafts, music, and foods come to party.

On the local college campus, vendors set up anything from woodworking to beautiful jewelry (possibly like a necklace someone pretty great might get for their friend 😀 (so many ❤ to my beautiful sister queen)). One booth–other than the cactus and choker booth I stopped at–that we really took advantage of today was some very detailed face painters! 🙂 We embraced our inner children and seized the moment for a dollar each.

We debated designs for a while, unicorns and hearts, but both ended up settling on suns covered in glitter. They were beautiful and different even though they were the same design choice off the board. We were in lines with a bunch of kids, but there’s a time in life to let loose and enjoy yourself completely. Today happened to be one of those times. Yes, indeed, it was.

The designs this lady and her young assistant could do were astounding. A nice reminder that art comes in so many forms, which is really what Fiddler’s as a whole is. It takes all art forms, especially those not typically renowned in museums and history books, and provides them a place to display as well as their artists a chance to earn money for their work. I can’t agree more, and I definitely don’t have a more eloquent way to say that. For some people it’s a social event to find a friend to walk around and “be seen,” but it has a character so much deeper than that. It’s a place full of new experiences, tastes, and plenty of sights. I already can’t wait for next year. Me either! 🙂

This weekend was a blast and there were plenty of life experiences but perhaps the most important lesson was to not only drive safely but park safely, especially at your local conventions and festivals. ❤ 😉
Keep your ears open and your eyes watching! ❤ 😀 😉 O.o 😛

Derailed Oreos

Hey, y’all! HELLO!

Sometimes, things do not occur as planned. For example, sometimes you don’t get fried Oreos like you had planned on all week or spin a fidget spinner the way you see done commercially, and sometimes your Friday night study session gets spent in the ER wondering if you’re having seizures.

No, sometimes they don’t, but we care about our friends much more than the fried Oreos that we didn’t get. And after it’s over we don’t regret it at all because we’re glad the person that was in the ER that we love is okay. ❤

All of that to say, drive safely and we’ll see you next week! ❤

Keep your Oreos in the cabinet and your toes in the frier! 🙂 O.O 😉 😛 😀
