Good evening and happy birthday! If your birthday is anything like mine and ACG’s dads’, it’s this week. Hey, y’all. I’m not gonna include the if clause, because if you are a dad, I have a feeling that your birthday is either passed recently (Happy Birthday in three languages) or is set to pass within the next week. There was even a baby boy I know of born today (I think) that will (likely) be a father one day. *screams*
Why is it that males like to be born in June? The month that already has an entire day set aside to those males that reproduced and/or raised children! Don’t get me wrong, I love my father and AJA’s father, and the concept of fathers everywhere, but it seems a bit stressful when you have to do something for Father’s Day and then the very next day is a birthday to also make a deal about. Part of the “problem” is that we want to give our fathers our all, the best we can, but doing that twice is like trying to one-up yourself! Exactly. It’s just hard. I like to believe that my presence itself counts as part of the gift. Ooh! Good thought. 😀
Anyway, we still love our fathers, even if they are making this week all about them. 😉 Happy birthday, Dad and ACG’s Dad. As you would encourage us to do, drive safely (except I don’t drive, don’t point that out, ACG. I’m watching you. *narrows eyes*).
Never dreamed of it. *smiles angelically* Keep your dads in the dunking booth and your spoons in the toolbox. 🙂 😛 😀 O.o :’D ❤ 😉
Hello! Today has been a pretty good Saturday for both ACG and I. I spent about two and a half hours in a pillow fort, and ACG has a very special announcement. 😉 Take it away, babe. Hey, y’all! Okay, so today I got a new puppy!!! I am super excited, and she is something else. Being a seven week old half lab, she could be nothing less. I am quite interested in the whole pillow fort thing, too. Yeah, honestly it’s as basic as it sound: both a fort and made of pillows. So, there is not much to be interested in. Although, I’m pretty sure the only thing that could’ve beat it was a puppy. The puppy is precious, and my brother has barely let it out of his sight. Thankfully, though, the puppy is now sleeping. Amen.
I have this idea that we should make a pillow fort with the puppy! Not, like, recruit the puppy for help building the fort, but for cuddles once inside (I mean, after it’s mostly house trained or you’ve learned her cues agreed). I mean, can you imagine anything better on earth? I cannot. I cannot either. Those are like the two best things, and you added cuddles. Put a fork in me.
I think it’s easy to conclude why this Saturday was so good, even if we had to divide the awesome down the middle and each only get one component of the magical sounding situation above. We will remedy that eventually. Soon. Soon. As soon as I am allowed to take the puppy places or we bring the pillow fort here. 😉 The beauty of a pillow fort is they can happen anywhere, anytime. #) That they can.
Keep your pillows on the roof and your stars in the washing machine. ❤ 🙂 😀 😉 😛 #) :’D :O o.O
Of course, drive safely if you have a puppy passenger to the pillow fort of your dreams! ❤
All day and night ACG and I have been busy at some awesome Bible classes, so we are both exhausted on all the levels. This week we just want to wish you all well and remind you to drive safely.
MINE!!! Mine, mine, mine…my ice cream. Hey, y’all! That was my tribute to both the Finding Dory movie I have not seen and our topic tonight. It just seemed fitting. Okay, but all that did was set up the title of this post to be Finding Ice Cream. Ahem. If that comment didn’t clarify the topic, tonight we will be discussing nothing other than The Most Fabulous Invention Of All Time: ice cream, my true love.
Not that it really matters who made it, seeing as all ice cream is amazing, but for the record: Ben & Jerry’s is to ice cream as Krispy Kreme is to doughnuts. Just sayin’. I say this because they have all these crazy amazing flavors, Half Baked being my personal go-to. However, a good soft serve or plain vanilla is still needed every now and then, as well. Okay, real talk: the beauty of ice cream is that it can be any flavor, and in my personal opinion the most beautiful flavors feature cheesecake or cream cheese. I can appreciate those as well. Actually, I just have to wholeheartedly agree, because I am not sure there is a way to make ice cream healthy enough that I will not at least try it. ;P Some of the best even have fruit in them. I’m sure somewhere there’s broccoli ice cream–probably horrendous even in my opinion, but it might exist–or there are plenty of “healthy” ice creams that are quite awful. Not that it is awful, but if we are going to mention frozen yogurt, can I say that it rocks, mainly because it is basically flavored soft serve and sometimes that in and of itself is the best kind of ice cream? Mainly because it does not require a spoon, if I am sharing my real favorite reason. (Can we tell that I like soft serve? I wonder how many more times I can casually use the term tonight. Hmm… O.o)
Froyo is not the healthy thing that I’m complaining about. It’s amazing, but usually not terribly more healthy if we’re being honest. #yikes I’m talking about those “no carb” ice creams that taste like cardboard. I have no clue how anyone even manages to stomach the stuff. Good. Gross, but good that froyo is not the accused.
Until next time, keep your frozens in the pool and your toppings in the deep freeze. ❤ 🙂 ;P 😀 :’D O.o
Don’t forget to enjoy a cone every now and then and drive safely. ❤
